Mount Fuji - Japan

Join the team as we embark on our expedition to trek to the summit of Mt Fuji in Japan , one of the most iconic mountains in the world! 

By using the traditional route to the top of this beautiful mountain we reach the summit after sunrise with amazing views. After your climb relax in the natural hot Japanese Spa before heading off into the mountains to follow the  old route of the Samurai, tasting the amazing cuisine and staying in the traditional Japanese style inns renowned for their hospitality.

Itineary:

Day 1: Fly from UK on group flight

Day 2: Arrive Tokyo, check in to Your Hotel in the Fun Asakuza district of Tokyo.

Day 3: Depart by train to the Mt Fuji area,  staying luxury style Pods in the woods with a view of Mt Fuji behind. Full trek brief given. 

Day 4: We start the Mt Fuji trek on the Old Yoshida route walking through forests and shrines to reach our mountain hut for the night high on Mt Fuji.

Day 5: After an early start we trek up to the  Summit of Mt Fuji  for amazing views with the  rising sun from the East and peer inside the Mt Fuji crater.We then descend back to the Fuji area where our nice hotel and Onsen (natural hot water spa) awaits us , relax.

Day 6: Depart by train to Makoto Castle and then onto the stunning area of the  Kiso Valley, staying in a traditional Japanese Ryokan hotel, amazing  food experience , and hot water spa.

Day 7: Trek part of the famous Nakasendo way in the footsteps of the Samurai through Japanese Maple forests and traditional villages- Return to Ryokan hotel for another food experience. 

Day 8: Depart by express train to Tokyo, celebration meal and head to the Tokyo tower for views over the city. 

Day 9: After breakfast go on a guided tour of Tokyo to see the sights/gift shopping.- head to airport for late flight.   -     

Day 10: Arrive UK

This is a very achievable trek and perfect for those that may have not been to altitude before.

Deposit  of £285 (included in price) and then spread the rest out over the year .

Included:  All Transport throughout Japan including express trains and buses, All accommodation including 4 star hotels. Full guiding service on Mt Fuji and mountain huts and other mountain trails, Japanese assistant for travel and connections, Guided tour of Tokyo, Breakfast and evening meals where specified.
